About Us

Our service began in Wilson, North Carolina in January 1975, as a satellite site for Rocky Mount.
The staff of four served 30 individuals with disabilities. Diversified Opportunities, Inc. became an independent program in 1979, more than 30 years ago.

Today, our staff serves more than 75 trainees daily. We consistently meet our goals and objectives through partnerships with local businesses, the generosity of our supporters and the dedication and contributions of our talented team members, vocational trainees and clients.

Diversified Opportunities maintains CARF accreditation (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) and is a United Way Member Agency.
